Brief History of Kunwu.
Well to answer it as briefly as we can…
We’re a group of people that have always been involved in making of high quality folders in one way or another for quite some time. Most of us have good amount of many moons spent behind the grinders and infernal furnaces of smelted matter. In may of 2019, before the madness started we’ve come together and decided to make something truly unique on the EDC market in the form of superbly built folder with the price that no one else could offer.
As a team we have strictly divided duties.
Some of us after years of having our faces melt, transgressed to design phases and more civil parts of the job whilst others still prefer to have their hands on the raw stuff.
We had some success with Orion and our first Kickstarter campaign which you can see here:
Which naturally led to the second most tedious campaign during the early days of pandemic:
which again was successful!
With the years in the industry, combined between the 4 people in Kunwu, we’re able to produce ultra high quality for the price that no other company can offer.
Kunwu offers the value that has been missing on the EDC market for quite some time. Each of our folders falls in the 300 to 500 USD price bracket, while your paying only third of that during the Kickstarter campaign and less than half once the product is available for retail.
For the third model we made TAO which has been our biggest hit so far. We think that Tao is our ground zero and the platform on which we’ll continue to improve and tinker with until we’re half way satisficed.
